Some saying hear around the camp.
  • Don't squat with your spurs on.
  • Don't dig for water under the outhouse.
  • The only good reason to ride a bull is to meet a nurse.
  • We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than others.
  • It's better to keep your mouth shut and look stupid than open it and prove it.
  • Just 'cause trouble comes visiting doesn't mean you have to offer it a place to sit down
  • Speak your mind, but ride a fast horse

2015 Hawaiian Pig Roast

This past weekend was the 2nd Pig Roast@ TWC and it was as good as the first. We had a few less in numbers, but that just meant fuller tummies and was made up for in good memories. More people came out to watch the pig be "basted & roasted" and then later enjoy the full flavor of a potluck meal. There was a great variety of dishes and no one went away hungry. After there was a prize draw that saw many of the kids with happy faces as they picked up their prize. All prizes were donated by the Harris family of London Home Hardware, Vanvugt and McIntyre family.

A huge thank you to the Vanvugt and McIntyre families & friends for all their efforts in organizing, decorating and co-ordinating this event. Also a shout out to the man wearing the coconut bra, – still laughing at that sight.

2014 Pig Roast

We had our first Pig Roast at Trillium Woods Campground this last Sat. It was a great success. Many thanks to the Hosts - Keith & Lori, Hank & Darlene. They put alot of work into the event and everyone had a great time. There was lots of food and laughing as the campers enjoyed their roasted supper. During the day alot of people and kids stopped by to take a look. The four legged kids gave the best response, some not so sure what was going on so tried to scare it away with barking!

Anyways after we were all full, the host had a draw for some prizes and there were some lucky families that night! And some full tummies!

Here are some pictures of the event:
